Terms of service.

Our terms of service: the plain english version.

Hello! Legal documents can be dense and confusing. We believe in being clear and transparent, so we’ve created this simple summary of our official Terms of Service. It explains the key points of what you agree to when you use our website and services.

The full legal version is provided below this summary.

1. Our Website is for General Information Only

  • What it means: Think of our articles and blog posts like a financial news report, not a personal medical diagnosis. The information is general in nature and is not tailored to you, your family, or your financial situation.

  • What you should do: Please don’t make any big financial decisions based solely on what you read here. Real, professional financial advice involves a deep understanding of your personal circumstances, and that can only happen when we work together formally.

2. Visiting Our Site Doesn’t Make You a Client

  • What it means: Just by browsing our website, sending us an email, or filling out a booking form, you haven't formally hired us and we haven't officially taken you on as a client.

  • What you should do: A formal advisor-client relationship only begins after we've had a proper discussion and we both sign a Client Service Agreement.

3. How We Handle Your Information

  • What it means: When you use a contact form, we obviously need to collect the information you provide (like your name and email) so we can help you. To run our business securely and efficiently, we use professional, trusted partners and tools like registered Australian Financial Services Licence and Paraplanning providers, Microsoft Office 365, Squarespace, and a specialist CRM for financial advisors called DASH to manage this information.

  • What you should do: Our full Privacy Policy has all the details on how we protect your data. We take your privacy very seriously.

4. Please Be Respectful

  • What it means: We ask that you use our website respectfully. Please don't copy our content without permission or do anything that could harm the site.

5. Our Legal Responsibility

  • What it means: We provide all information on this site in good faith, but we can't be held legally responsible for any loss you might experience from relying on the general information provided. Of course, this doesn't change any of your fundamental rights under Australian Consumer Law.

6. We're Based in NSW

  • What it means: We are a local Australian business. Any legal matters between us will be handled here in New South Wales.

7. These Rules Can Change

  • What it means: We may need to update these terms from time to time. If we do, the new version will be posted here.

Any questions? Please get in touch! We're happy to clarify anything.
